Dharma and Greg DVD complete series collection with all episodes and seasons on DVDs Dharma & Greg is a sitcom that was first broadcasted on ABC in September 1997 and lasted for 5 seasons until April 2002. Dharma and Greg Montgomery are the characters on which the sitcom focuses. They are played by Jenna Elfman and Thomas Gibson. They married after their first date although they had antithetical way of thinking. The Tv show gained a Golden Globe for Jenna Elfman as best actress and some other awards. It was first aired on Wednesdays at 8,30 p.m., it reached its tops in the season 2000/2001 when it was aired after “Who wants to be a Millionaire?”. But, unfortunately, when it was moved off the night in the fall of 2001 its ratings went lower and lower, the same happened, some years before, to the sitcom “Frasier”. Dharma Finkelstein is a yoga instructor, she always sees the brighter side of things, she lived in a hippie family with her parents Abby (Mimi Kennedy) and Larry (Alan Rachins). She knows how to see the world how it really is beyond the surface of things. As she trusts in her intuition, she decided to marry Greg the day they had their first date. Greg is the exact opposite of her, he comes from an upper class family. With is parents, Kitty (Susan Sullivan) and Edward (Mitchell Ryan) Montgomery, Greg grew up in country club and cocktail parties. He attended Harvard and is a lawyer. He was very attracted from Dharma and immediately loved her way of behaving and thinking. Their marriage goes through ups and downs and humorous situations due to their parents that find quite difficulty accepting the “enemy”. At last this two worlds find a quite strange balance and harmony, so everyone can understand how it can be easy for people to go through obstacles. Other characters are Jane (Shae D’Lyn) Dharma best friend and Pete (Joel Murray) Greg’s best friend and colleague. A curiosity: at the and of each episode a short message appeared for a moment, it showed what the producer and the scriptwriters thought about the topic of the episode, but this message was only visible to those who recorded the episode and then pause it in that moment.
